ED&I is of upmost importance to ICAM, with a steering group that meets twice a year to share best practice, lessons learnt across all institutions and present at the Annual Conference. ICAM’s key objective in this area is to support an ethos of continuous improvement in ED&I.
Kathleen Lonsdale Research Fellowship

This fellowship fully supports outstanding academic researchers at the beginning of their independent research career, whose personal circumstances require a flexible working pattern or additional support.

Diversity and Wellbeing Fund
In ED&I, a specific fund of £10k p.a. is available for ICAM academics/researchers to request financial support to overcome individual career barriers related to ED&I (e.g. wellbeing support, ED&I training costs, emergency childcare, travel support (e.g. for carer) to allow researcher participation in conferences or training, software or hardware to support disabilities).
