Sarah Haigh is a Professor of Materials Characterisation at The University of Manchester, where she leads a research group that pioneers cutting edge electron microscopy characterisation in the field of 2D material heterostructures and inorganic nanoparticles. She was appointed Vice Dean for Research and Innovation for the Faculty of Science and Engineering in 2026.
