Surface and molecular interactions underpin the wear, erosive and lubrication processes in the energy industry. A vast amount of energy is consumed globally to overcome friction and ensure efficient operations.
ICAM is undertaking research into the development of chemistries that could deliver new lubricant additives and alloys with the potential to reduce this energy loss, improve efficiencies, and extend the lifetime of mechanical components that are subjected to damage by wear.
