Apply for the Researcher Collaboration Fund

This funding is designed to facilitate the development of collaborations among researchers across ICAM projects and institutions. The maximum funding awarded for each proposal is £5k.

To be eligible for this funding, you must be:

A PhD student or PDRA associated with the ICAM.
Proposing research that is NOT included in your project’s original workplan.
Collaborating with a member of another university (they do not have to be currently affiliated with an ICAM project) you have not worked with previously. Typically, we anticipate this involving a ICAM researcher initiating collaboration with a researcher from another ICAM university. However, exceptions may be considered if a compelling justification is provided in the proposal description to demonstrate the added value.

Each applicant can submit one proposal as lead researcher and can collaborate on an additional two proposals that they are not the lead researcher (max 3 proposals total). While we expect a standard project duration of up to 6 months, let us know if your project necessitates a longer timeframe. Applications are considered on a rolling basis and can be submitted at any time.
