ICAM is Exhibiting at The Advanced Materials Show

The International Centre for Advanced Materials (ICAM) will be exhibiting at the 2025 Advanced Materials Show, taking place from Wednesday 9th to Thursday 10th July at the NEC in Birmingham.

This will be ICAM’s first time exhibiting at the event, which is the UK’s largest dedicated exhibition and conference for the advanced materials industry. The two-day event is free to attend and is expected to attract materials engineers, R&D professionals, scientists, and product developers from a range of sectors.

On Wednesday 9th July at 10.10am (day one), ICAM’s Associate Director Dr Mandar Thakare will chair the opening panel discussion, “Materials – The Link…to Make the Transition Happen” alongside these panellists:

  • Professor Nigel Brandon, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Imperial College London
  • Brenna Howley, Associate Patent Attorney, Chemistry and Life Sciences, Gill Jennings & Every LLP
  • Professor David Knowles, CEO, Henry Royce Institute
  • Dr Subhasish Mukerjee, Chief Scientific Officer, Ceres
  • Dr Kalyan Sarma, Vice President, Commercialisation – Climate, Environment & Sustainability, Ploughshare

Promotional artwork for the keynote presentation from Dr Georgia Wood and Dr Sofia Marchesini titled: 'bp-ICAM: Advancing Energy Solutions Through Dynamic Industry-Academic Synergy in Materials Science'.On Thursday 10th July at 3.00pm (day two), bp’s Dr Sofia Marchesini and ICAM’s Dr Georgia Wood will deliver a keynote on how ICAM is advancing energy solutions through dynamic industry-academic synergy in materials science.

Colleagues from the ICAM Hub and bp will be on hand to discuss possible collaborations with potential supply chain partners, universities and funding partners. You can find ICAM’s stand (#1127) near the venue’s entrance.
