Job Opportunity – bp-ICAM Communications Officer (The University of Manchester, UK)

bp-ICAM are seeking a Communications and Marketing Officer to develop and implement a Communications and Marketing strategy for the remainder of phase two then phase three of the bp-ICAM initiative which has a wide focus particularly on low carbon advanced materials solutions for bp as the company looks to reduce emissions in its operations, improve products and create low carbon businesses. This role will work in partnership with the bp Communications team, UoM Faculty Communications and Marketing Team and across the bp-ICAM partnership and will focus on raising the profile of bp-ICAM within bp’s global community and the partner universities.  This role would very much suit an individual who is interested particularly in internal communications and is able to work independently and as part of wider teams as necessary.  External communications will also be a feature of the role.

Ideally the applicant will hold a degree and have demonstrable direct experience of the practical application of communications, marketing, science and advanced materials.  Previous experience in technical / science related communication is essential and it would be advantageous for the applicant to have a keen interest in low carbon advanced materials solutions.
